Today’s Must-have Monday (Yeah, I know it’s Thursday but let’s roll with it) is the pencil skirt. Like most middle class women, I’m on a budget and I don’t like to spend a whole lot of money on clothes, so I love functional pieces, and a classic pencil skirt is just that. You never have to worry about it going out of style. Every woman should own at least one pencil skirt. It’s slimming and flattering to almost any body type. The one featured in this post is a black pencil skirt from Macy’s. I only paid $29 for it and I will show you how to wear it 4 different ways.
1. So the first look is the office look. I paired the skirt with a striped button down shirt that I got from JC Penny’s for $30. The shoes are Fergie and I got them from DSW a while ago. I think I paid about $50 for them. I added my pearl necklace and bangles to finish the look.
2. The second look is the party girl look. I got this fun Aztec cropped top from Charlotte Russe for $15. The booties are from Cato.. I added a rope necklace from Charlotte Russe, which was only $8
3. Look # 3 is for date night. This sexy leopard print shirt was on sale at Express for $22. I got the blazer from Macy’s a few years ago for $50. And the shoes, which were gifted to me, are Marc Fisher.
4. The final look is a casual look. The denim shirt is from NY & Company for $30. The shoes are from Shoe Department for $45. And the belt came with another shirt.
